Who we are
Two Friends Films is Suzannah Wander and Esther McWatters. Between us, we have over four decades of experience making high end documentaries spanning the South Bank Show, ITV specials, BBC Current Affairs, BBC Specialist Factual, CNN and Sky.
We started this company because we believe that documentary filmmaking — the craft of sitting with someone and helping them tell their story — belongs in care and for all older people. As experienced documentary filmmakers, we are trained to create conversations that feel natural and relaxed — more like time spent with a trusted friend than a formal interview.
Privacy comes first
Every film is made with clear consent, careful editing and secure delivery. Because our films are deeply personal, we don't publish identifiable client films on this website; the few excerpts here are used with our contributors' permission.
We work with a limited number of clients at a time, so every film gets our full attention.
